If you are familiar with WordPress, you know the SEO features are pure gold. SE-friendly URLs, meta tags, page titles, etc. are all configurable from the WordPress admin panel. Other arcade scripts have their own "in-house" SEO features, but it is very difficult to outdo WordPress as far as number of features, configuration, and flexibility goes.

From WordPress, you can specify the URL structure of your permalinks, offering you unlimited flexibility with the look of your URLs.

If you have ever had a site where visitors can comment, you know much of an annoyance comment spam can be. Other arcade scripts generally offer you one method to prevent comment spam, if at all.

WordPress includes many features to prevent comment spam, including optional admin approval. More information on the WordPress comment spam features can be found here. Using the free Akismet plugin for WordPress, you can effectively stop all comment and trackback spam.

WPArcadeEngine just adds to the WordPress admin panel. What could be easier? If you are familiar with WordPress you already know how to use their admin panel so the learning curve is completely eliminated. Even if you have never used WordPress before, it has one of the easiest admin panels to use of any CMS.

WordPress posts become games - fields are added to the Write/Edit Posts screens for control over the game width, height, description, and more. WordPress categories are the categories on your arcade site. WordPress pages are the content pages of your arcade. WPArcadeEngine also adds a special settings page where some configuration options can be changed.

WPArcadeEngine will automatically detect the size of uploaded SWF files (most common file format) to save you the step of having to manually enter them in. WPArcadeEngine can also automatically resize your games to be a specific size, or no larger or smaller than a specified size.

WPArcadeEngine can support any file type. Natively, SWF files are supported, but through the HTML page feature, in place of a game file name you can enter in HTML code for any game, including DCR games, offsite games, Java applets, and more. You can also trade traffic this way by pasting in JavaScript code for a traffic trading script into the HTML file you specify.

WPArcadeEngine is just a WordPress plugin and theme. You can build WPArcadeEngine themes using the WordPress theme system, and extremely well-documented and robust theme system.

WordPress has been around for years and has had many add-ons developed. Every plugin compatible with WordPress can be used with WPArcadeEngine.
